Polysilazane (PSZ) is a type of polymer with Si-N bonds as repeating units in the main chain. According to its molecular structure, polysilazanes can be divided into: cyclosilazanes, oligomeric polysilazanes, and polymeric polysilazanes; according to its functional groups, polysilazanes can be divided into inorganic polysilazanes (perhydropolysilazanes) and organic polysilazanes (methyl, vinyl, fluorinated, heterogeneous element modified, etc.).
Since the research groups of A. Stock and Somieski first reported the preparation of polysilazanes with chlorosilanes in 1921, the research on polysilazanes has continued for more than a century.
