Silicone oil is a "multitasker" in the automotive care industry, demonstrating excellent lubrication, film-forming, and anti-aging properties. It plays a key role in car interior maintenance, exterior care, and component lubrication, helping maintain vehicle aesthetics and prolong component life.
Car Interior Maintenance
Silicone oil is most widely used in leather seats and plastic parts. Leather seats often crack and fade due to dryness, and silicone oil-containing care products can penetrate the leather fibers, replenishing moisture and oils, restoring softness, and forming a protective film on the surface to enhance wear resistance and stain resistance. Regular use of silicone oil-based care products on genuine leather seats can extend their service life by over three times.
Car Exterior Care
Silicone oil is especially effective in car wax and glass cleaning. Car wax containing silicone oil forms a hydrophobic protective film on the car paint, improving the water runoff effect and effectively preventing dirt from adhering, maintaining protection for 1-2 months. Silicone oil-based windshield washer fluid reduces friction noise between the wiper blades and glass, and in winter, it helps prevent frost from forming on the windshield, improving driving safety.
Component Lubrication
Automotive parts such as sealing strips and sunroof guides are prone to aging and jamming due to long-term friction. Using silicone oil-based lubricants can maintain stable lubrication in the temperature range of -40°C to 150°C, reducing wear and extending service life. Additionally, silicone oil lubrication of air conditioning system seals can enhance sealing performance, preventing refrigerant leakage and prolonging the lifespan of the seals.
