Today, silica as a high-quality substitute for carbon black in the production process of green tires occupy an increasingly important position, its advantages are:
(1) the production of raw materials do not come from oil or coal, do not rely on fossil resources;
(2)
can reduce the rolling resistance and driving noise of the tire,
improve the tire skid resistance and wear resistance, which is of great
significance for reducing energy consumption, reducing fuel consumption,
improving driving safety and extending the service life of the tire.
Some scholars have done experiments on the impact of the structure of silica on the performance of tire rubber. Through the experiments of different brands of silica on
the market, the processing performance, mixing performance and
vulcanized rubber performance are compared respectively, and the
following conclusions are drawn:
(1)
For silica with the same packing state and different specific surface area, the larger the BET of silica, the higher the mixing temperature rise and the greater the mixing power, and the greater the processing difficulty.
(2)
For silica with the same packing state and different BET, the aggregate of BET increases with the increase of BET and the decrease of primary particle size, and the dispersion becomes worse.
