Organosilicate resin has Si-O-Si as the main chain, and the silicon atoms are linked with organic groups. It is a semi-inorganic polymer with a high degree of cross-linking. It is a silicone resin prepopolymer made from polyfunctional organosilanes by hydrolysis. The prepopolymer is further crosslinked under heating or catalyst catalysis to form an insoluble and non-melting solid silicone resin with a three-dimensional mesh structure.It can be a homopolymer of one monomer or a copolymer of multiple monomers.
Silicone resin has the characteristics of organic silicone resin and inorganic materials, and has excellent heat resistance, electrical insulation, hydrophobicity, weather resistance and chemical reagent resistance. It has a wide range of uses in many industries, especially in aerospace, construction, national defense and other fields and departments.
There are many classification methods for silicone resins.If it is divided according to the composition of the main chain, it can be divided into two types: pure silicone resin and modified silicone resin. The former is a typical polysiloxane structure. According to the type of organic substituent connected to the silicon atom, it can be subdivided into methyl silicone resin, phenyl silicone resin and methylphenylsilyl resin; modified silicone resin is a thermosetting polysiloxane that hybridizes the organic resin, or a polysiloxane modified with other siloxanes and carbon-functional silanes.
1. Organosilicon Organosilicon, that is, organosilicon compounds, refers to compounds that contain Si-C bonds and at least one organic group is directly connected to the silicon atom. It is customary to treat those compounds that connect the organic group to the silicon atom through oxygen, sulfur, nitrogen, etc. As organosilicon compounds.Among them, polysiloxanes composed of silicon-oxygen bonds (-Si-0-Si-) as the skeleton are the most numerous, most studied and most widely used class of organosilicon compounds, accounting for more than 90% of the total amount.Silicone material has a unique structure:
(1) Sufficient methyl groups on the Si atom shield the high-energy polysiloxane backbone;
(2) C-H is infinite, making the intermolecular interaction very weak.;
(3) The Si-O key has a long length and the Si-O-Si key has a large key angle.
(4) The Si-O bond is a covalent bond with 50% ionic bond characteristics (the covalent bond is directional, and the ionic bond is non-directional).
2. Organosilicate resin Organosilicate resin is a poly organosiloxane with a highly crosslinked mesh structure. It is usually used in various mixtures of methyl trichlorosilane, dimethyl dichlorosilane, phenyl trichlorosilane, diphenyldichlorosilane or methylphenyldichlorosilane. In the presence of an organic solvent such as toluene, it is decomposed by adding water at a lower temperature to obtain an acidic hydrolysate.
The initial product of hydrolysis is a mixture of cyclic, linear, and crosslinked polymers, usually containing a considerable number of hydroxyl groups.The hydrolysate is washed with water to remove the acid, and the neutral initial polycondensate is thermally oxidized in the air or further polycondensated in the presence of a catalyst, and finally a highly crosslinked three-dimensional network structure is formed.
