Carboxyl Silicone Oil IOTA 2520

Description:

IOTA 2520 is a carboxy-terminated polydimethylsiloxane, designed to impart long-lasting waterproof properties to chrome-tanned leather, while also endowing it with certain silicone characteristics.

Applications:

• Long-lasting waterproofing of chrome-tanned leather 

• Hydrophobicity on polar surfaces

• Enhancing compatibility with organic polymers during pigment or filler treatment

• Chain extender for polymers (e.g., introducing in polycondensation reactions of polyesters, polyamides) to impart silicone properties

• Hydrophilic soft finishing of fabrics

Advantages:

• Excellent long-lasting waterproofing

• Good compatibility with pigments or fillers

• Imparts silicone properties to polyesters, polyamides: anti-blocking, anti-stick, abrasion resistance, scratch resistance, etc.

• Provides a smooth feel to fabrics while enhancing their hydrophilicity

• Stable micro-emulsion, resistant to acids, alkalis, and shearing

Storage and Shelf Life:

Store IOTA 2520 in the original sealed container at -20℃~50℃. The standard shelf life is 24 months from the date of production. Please refer to the storage recommendations and expiration date on the packaging. After this date, IOTA no longer guarantees that the product meets the sales specifications.
