IOTA BJ710 Phenyl Silicone Serves Nuclear & High-Reliability Industries

As a monophenyl-structured methylphenyl polysiloxane, the phenyl silicone oil IOTA BJ710 has achieved stable application for many years in fields with strict requirements for material reliability such as nuclear power generation, high-end instruments and special hydraulic systems, relying on its excellent thermal stability, high flash point, low volatility and outstanding radiation resistance.
The typical technical parameters of IOTA BJ710 are as follows:

Its high compressibility (for example, the volume compressibility rate reaches 5.50% at 20,000 psi) makes it particularly suitable for damping, buffering and shock absorption systems, such as hydraulic arresters, precision buffers and hydraulic drive valves in nuclear power plants.
In nuclear power generation application scenarios, the radiation resistance of IOTA BJ710 is particularly critical. Test data shows that it can still maintain basic physical and chemical properties after accumulating an absorbed dose of 170 million rads, meeting the long-term service requirements for working media of some nuclear-grade equipment.
In addition, due to its relatively constant thermal conductivity in a wide temperature range (0.00035 g·cal/cm²·s·℃ at 50℃), IOTA BJ710 is also used as a high-temperature heat carrier, providing stable thermal management support in occasions with composite functional requirements such as insulation, lubrication or dust prevention.
